2nd Heavy Artillery (112th Regiment), Battery F Guidon. The 2nd Heavy Artillery regiment was composed during the fall and winter 1861-62. Composed of men from all over Pennsylvania, this regiment was the largest Federal regiment during the Civil War, exceeding 5000 men. The regiment was mustered out of service on January 29, 1866. Little is known about this flag.
